OUR VALUES...
The Prince of Wales Youth Club has existed since 1935 to fight against the exclusion of disadvantaged young people from the structured and disciplined challenges and pleasures that prepare any child for a full productive and happy life. Our aim is to help young people gain new skills to combat issues they face in their ever-changing-lives. We are a fully inclusive group and our aim is to focus on supporting young people to come and not be under pressure to produce high standards. To provide a safe and friendly environment in which Young People can flourish. To deliver age appropriate sessions that will enhance the child's development and well being.

TIM BRETT - PRESIDENT
I have been connected with the Prince of Wales Youth Club for many years and I currently hold the position of President which is a great honour. I believe that this charity provides a safe and friendly environment for children to flourish. I am member of the Canterbury rotary club whilst also holding position as a freeman of the city of Canterbury. I am also the honorary President of Porchlight which is another great charity based in Canterbury. I am now retired having been executive chairman of The Brett Group for nearly 40 years.
ALAN LINGHAM - CHAIRMAN

I have been the chairman of the Prince of Wales Y.C for the past 4 years but I've been on the management committee for over 20 years. I am also the Head Coach of the Canterbury judo club and I am currently 5th Dan but I am about to join an elite standard and will gain my 6th Dan. I had 10 years on the BJA national refereeing panel promoting junior officials into the sport. I have also had the privilege of working on both the 2012 London Olympics & the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth games. My main aim & objective is to ensure that we are providing a good quality service along with providing life opportunities for our younger generation. I believe that no child or young person should be excluded from having a happy and productive life. We can achieve this by having a strong and passionate management committee, along with that good staff volunteers and partners.
JOEY WICKS - CENTRE COORDINATOR

I have been with the prince of wales for 20 years. My role involves management and co-ordination but my passion is to ensure that we provide a fully inclusive service and break down any barriers that can reduce a child or young persons life chances.
Jacky Cox,
Treasurer
I have been treasurer at the Prince of Wales Youth Club for 16 years. My aim is to ensure that the organisation remains financially viable so that it can continue to maintain the high level of service it currently provides to the young people.

I have been connected with the Prince of Wales since the age of 7 and am now a full time youth worker. I enjoy my role as a senior leader as it allows me to work with the young people and create fun and exciting sessions.

As a young person I used to come to "the club", then in later years I volunteered, now I work here. Helping the Prince of Wales Youth Club to achieve its best possible aims & goals working with the young people.
